Newport Beach is located in the heart of coastal Orange County off Pacific Coast Highway just to the south of Huntington Beach and to the north of Corona Del Mar. The community can also be accessed from the 55 Freeway and 73 Tollroad and is approximately 10 minutes from John Wayne Orange County Airport. This beautiful beach community has miles of sandy beaches and some of the most popular spots from the Wedge that is world famous for its surf to Balboa and Newport Piers. All of the beaches in this community have stunning sunsets to the west and views of Catalina Island on a clear day.
Newport Beach is also a famous boating community with thousands of boats and many properties featuring a boat slip in the back with access out to the Pacific Ocean. Besides Huntington Beach, Newport Beach is one of the only coastal communities in Orange County that features homes with boat docks.
Newport Beach is home to four golf courses and surrounding communities have plenty of golf to offer, both in Irvine and the famous Pelican Hills golf course in Newport Coast. The golf courses in Newport beach are Big Canyon Country Club, Newport Beach Country Club, Hyatt Newport Back Bay Golf Course, and Newport Beach Golf Course.With Newport Beach being a huge vacation destination, there are tons of hotels and lodging options to choose from, whether renting a beach house for a week or staying at one of the nicer hotels such as the Hyatt, Marriot or The Island Hotel.
When it comes to shopping, Newport Beach has one of the best outdoor malls at Fashion Island. Beyond Fashion Island, Newport Beach has shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and more throughout each of the neighborhoods, many of which are boutique and one of a kind.
